We are Sebastian and Uta, and we turn holiday homes into Garten-Oasen with a great deal of attention to detail. Before every arrival, we or our lovely helpers on site personally ensure that everything is ready for our guests.
We live in the flat above Garten-Oase Berlin Olympic Stadium, so we are available if anything goes wrong.
We like to personally welcome our guests, unless you prefer to keep to yourself. Self-check-in works just as well.
We have been going through life together for over 20 years, and we keep looking for new challenges.
Our journey took us from Passau to Frankfurt and from there to Hong Kong (with one child) and on to London (by then with three children), where we spent eight wonderful years. At the end of 2021 we all moved to Berlin – Uta’s home city.
We have moved house many times, there is always something being renovated, and standing still is not really our thing. So we started our next project together: holiday homes.
One thing became clear quickly: Uta’s pragmatic 80/20 rule and Sebastian’s eye for detail do not always go well together, or the easiest combination 🤓
But perhaps it is exactly that combination which produced something that both reflects us well and is well liked by everyone else.
The first feedback from our guests in Berlin says so: Sebastian’s long hunt for the right furnishings paid off, even if it tested Uta’s patience considerably.
So look forward to places that work practically and are furnished with care, affection and lots of details.
Besides the five two-legged residents in the flat above the Berlin holiday home, these two four-legged ones live with us.
Charlie and Ruby’s main job is cuddling, for whenever the (teenage) children have had enough of their parents and need a little comfort and understanding (being a teenager is far more complicated now than it used to be).
They also keep mice out of our garden.
Do not be surprised if they stop by to say hi. They were hand-raised after being found as youngsters, so they’re very friendly and trusting.
When you air the rooms, closing the fly screens on the doors will stop them walking into the apartment, curious as they are.
